There are times we know that we need to make a change. Maybe it’s in ourself, or maybe our personal life, or our relationships, but we know that something negative is going on and it needs to stop.

We might also think that nothing needs changing!

But that would be a prideful mistake because we can always be better. We’ll never be perfect, but we can always be better.

God is the only one who knows perfection because He is perfection… so who better to turn to when we want to learn how we can improve our own character?

That’s what this 8-part sermon series focuses on, building our character with the right tools given to us by God.

It won’t be an easy thing that can happen overnight… you see, making real changes in our lives will take time and even pain as we confront the bad to realize the good.

But no matter how far we stray from God, we can always come back and be stronger, happier people.

Sermons included:

  1. Making Hard Changes In Me is for when it’s time to take a leap of faith and change things you may not like about your character for the better.
  2. Breaking the Destructive Patterns In Your Life teaches us how to examine our lives, recognize the habits that are hurting us, and get rid of them before they damage our character.
  3. Rethinking Your Marriage/Relationships talks about how relationships aren’t always perfect and we can learn to recognize that and strengthen them through Christ.
  4. Learning to See says that sometimes we choose not to see, that it will always hurt us in the end and we must learn to get past that to be better Christians.
  5. How God Tests Your Faith gives us six ways god tests our faith in ways that will eventually mold us into better people.
  6. Building Character at Work tells us that God builds our character through work and gives us tools for dealing with difficult people along the way.
  7. Dealing with Drifting deals with the fact that whether we like it or not, if we don’t keep up with healthy habits that build our character we will slide back down the hill and have to start again.
  8. God’s Wake-Up Call describes a turning point in our lives where we will have to weather the storm and come out on the other side better for it.
