Spiritual transformation is a process where surrender and sanctification bring about passion, purpose, and action. You understand who you are, why you’re here, what’s going on in the world, and how you fit into it. Divinely ordered, this holy sequence is intentionally directed and mapped out for eternity.
Here’s how it unfolds….
You commit to follow Jesus and the life-altering work of the Holy Spirit begins. The combination of your resolve and His indwelling sparks a massive recalibration of your desires and destiny.
Strongholds from the past begin to fall away, healing is activated, and you discover a purpose for being, knowing, loving, and serving. You observe the world as God does and you feel deeply the heartbreak for the things that break His heart. You abide in Him and your path becomes clear.
Some find the change in you disturbing and uncomfortable. You are NOT what you ‘use’ to be and somehow the new you doesn’t quite ‘fit’ anymore. If pressed, there are those that would say your behavior embarrasses them.
Then there’re those that remain silent and sit on the sidelines– not sure, but certainly curious. They give you a nod now and then; just to let you know they’re still there – observing closely this new you.
And finally, there are your brothers and sisteres in the faith. They know your passion, and you feel them right there with you.
All people react in one way or another to you and how you live out your faith. Regardless of their reaction, God uses all of it as part of His master plan.
Life never becomes miraculously easy. Resolve is tested and trials ensue, but His love compels you to keep on going. With a heart fixed on the goal, you no longer ignore the need or the hurt that exists in the dark places. In your own brokenness and with His refining, you become His hands and feet. His priorities are yours and nothing else matters. You whole-heartedly pursue faithfulness, obedience, more of Him, and less of you.
Nothing is wasted. Even when the enemy tries to convince you that your imperfections inhibit His purpose, God manifests His presence in and through you-each and every day. All things work together for good. Whether it’s online or face-to-face, His influence is alive and being perfected in you. He comes to you. He moves through you. He finishes what He starts.
As you grow in Him – you become like Him.
What’s the typical reaction you get from others when they see you living out your faith? What’s been the toughtest part of it? What’s brought you the most joy?
